great wall of china

Beijing, the ancient capital of China. It has endured a great deal in invasions and great fires and still stands proud today. Even now, it is the political center of the country, and the most strategic city as well. It is the second largest, after Shanghai and is renowned for its grand palaces, temples, and large, opulent walls and gates. It is best during late spring and autumn due to the bright skies and the infamous yellow wind. One can enjoy its teahouses, temple fairs, the Hutong Courtyard, and the Peking Opera. These events all tell of the metropolis's wonderful grace, charm, and vigour. It has the largest cenral square in the world, the Tian'anmen Square, the Forbidden City. It has the best preserved imperial palace with its grounds as well as the Temple of Heaven. A few miles outside of it, the infamous Great Wall, one of the Seven Wonders of the World, can be found. More modern attractions include the many shopping malls and towering skyscrapers, as well as, more specifically, Yansha Shopping Mall, Tiananmen and Wangfujing Streets, Guomao Shopping Mall, Qianmen Street, and Xidan Street. During the night, one can visitthat range from the Beijing Opera to concerts and clubs. Overall, it is a great city that one should visit as soon as he or she finds the chance.
